Responsibility with Actions and Impact
Grant Thornton has recognized the decisive contribution of Corporate Responsibility actions to achieving sustainable development and is committed to improving the society in which it operates.
At Grant Thornton, we consider the impact that businesses can have on society. We want all our activities and initiatives to have a positive impact on people, our clients, the environment, and our society.
As a company, we have adopted the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and, by adopting these principles, we share the belief that corporate practices based on global principles contribute to responsible development and help build societies that prosper and thrive.
Grant Thornton is one of the founding members of the United Nations Global Compact Network Hellas in Greece. The Global Compact Network Hellas is one of 70 Global Compact Networks around the world, as part of the global organization's strategy for 2020. As a member of the Global Compact, the company publishes an annual Communication On Progress Report (C.O.P.).
Grant Thornton, remaining true to its values, is active in Corporate Responsibility throughout the year, supporting organizations and institutions in need. At Grant Thornton in Greece, we are committed to supporting the pillars of "Education," "Recycling," and "Diversity & Inclusion" over a three-year period. We monitor developments, work closely with organisations active in the field and adapt to new circumstances immediately, with the aim of achieving responsible growth in all areas.
The company has adopted a recycling system in its offices with the aim of reducing single-use plastic consumption and ultimately phasing it out. The recycling system also includes two other streams, paper and electrical appliances. As a business consulting company, we offer our services pro bono to selected non-governmental organizations that need guidance and advice. At the same time, we support organizations such as ExcellenSeas, which helps students with financial difficulties from remote areas with their studies, and WomenOnTop, which aims to empower women professionally and promote equality in the labor market.

CSR Days
Grant Thornton dedicates two days a year to supporting Corporate Responsibility initiatives, giving its employees around the world the opportunity to offer assistance to vulnerable groups and support environmental and other initiatives, making a difference in local communities.
The initiatives focus on the pillars of "Education," "Recycling," and "Diversity & Inclusion," with the ultimate goal of developing volunteerism among our people and social contribution. At the same time, a network of volunteers has been set up within the company, who participate in volunteer activities of various organizations with the aim of promoting the spirit of giving and solidarity.
