Nikos Ioannou is an Assurance Partner & Head of Business Development at Grant Thornton Greece. He is a Certified Public Accountant with many years of professional experience and holds the ACCA professional title.
His experience is strongly focused on statutory and financial audits, financial & tax due diligence as well as transactions related to acquisitions and mergers of companies (M&As). He has also participated in the preparation of the Report on Listing on Athens Stock Exchange. He has led numerous teams in multinational listed and unlisted companies.
During his career as a Certified Public Accountant and Business Consultant, Nikos has participated in conduct of audits in various business segments, such as metallurgy, food, fish farming, petroleum, etc. He was a member of the writing team regarding books and articles on IFRS, published in financial media. In addition, he was a member of the editing team of Grant Thornton’s IFRS book.
Education and Professional Qualifications
Nikos is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece, he holds a Master's Degree of Professional Training of IESOEL, and holds the ACCA professional title. He also holds a Senior Leadership degree from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
