Panagiotis is Partner in Financial Services Department in Grant Thornton Greece and brings multiple years of professional experience. Panagiotis is a Certified Public Accountants and a Fellow member of ACCA and he is a qualified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece.
As part of his career with Grant Thornton, Panagiotis has been involved in a number of complex, multi-national projects with several different stakeholders including banks and regulators. He has vast experience in assessing loan portfolios both retail and wholesale. These projects include also two Asset Quality Reviews run by the ECB in a Greek Systemic Bank.
He was involved in the valuation of number of different portfolios that were transferred under a relevant decision of the resolution committee of BoG in the context of the carve-out of Greek financial institutions during the period of 2012-2015. He was also involved in a number of due diligence and assurance services in the banking sector as well as in IFRS 9 implementation related projects.
Recently, he was involved in the corporate transformation/ NPE securitization of a systemic bank and provided due diligence services to international funds regarding a number of portfolio sales transactions.
