"Financial Sector Insights" is an informative publication that was produced by the Financial Services Department of Grant Thornton Greece.

In our first release for this year we attempt to describe in greater depth some of the most recent changes of the financial sector as follows:

the new supervisory mechanism after the official start of its operation,
the challenges that arise for insurance companies from the mandatory application of International Financial Reporting Standards,
the new guidelines of the European Banking Authority and
incorporating the Regulation 575/2013 on the calculation of equity.
